" In the latter times, some shall depart from the faith."
(1 Tim 4:1)
Lingering means to take one's time, proceeds slowly, leave hesitantly. In the book of Genesis 9:15-16, 17 & 24, a man named Lot disobeyed God's command instead of hurrying to leave the sin city of Sodom and Gomorrah, he lingered and loitered. He does not want to abandon the wealth and comfort in Sodom.
I- Do Not Delay God's Offer of Salvation- Do not practice "wait-a-minute" mentality because time is running out. Saying " it's too early" makes it "too late."
II-Do Not Set Your Affections on Earth- we must not love the world. We must set our affections above.

III-Decide for Christ Before It's Too Late- here is a poem:
Blame Me Not
Ye call me master and obey me not;
Ye call me light and see me not;
Ye call me way and walk not;
Ye call me life and desire me not;
Ye call me wise and follow me not;
Ye call me fair and love me not;
Ye call me rich and ask me not;
Ye call me eternal and seek me not;
Ye call me gracious and trust me not;
Ye call me noble and serve me not;
Ye call me mighty and honor me not;
Ye call me just and fear me not;
If I condemned you Blame Me Not!
Ye call me master and obey me not;
Ye call me light and see me not;
Ye call me way and walk not;
Ye call me life and desire me not;
Ye call me wise and follow me not;
Ye call me fair and love me not;
Ye call me rich and ask me not;
Ye call me eternal and seek me not;
Ye call me gracious and trust me not;
Ye call me noble and serve me not;
Ye call me mighty and honor me not;
Ye call me just and fear me not;
If I condemned you Blame Me Not!

ReplyDeleteThanks. God's messages really passes from one person to another. From the Bible to the Sermon and Preaching Guides..to the Pastor... to me..to the internet... and to everyone and others, regardless of their own doctrine and belief. What is important is to always hope that many people will be touched by the blog. The message applies to all. It doesn't matter who I am, who is Pastor, who are you and we..how the blog was done..what matters most is the Message which touches and relates our lives...THAT MADE ME KEEP GOING THOUGH TIRED AT TIMES...I hope you could share this to your close friends. Miss you Brod.
